Glow, Bluewater events venue - new identity revealed! Thursday 3rd November 2011
With just under a month to go until the opening on 30th November, we are excited to announce that The Events Venue at Bluewater has been rebranded and renamed as Glow, Bluewater.
The choice of Glow follows an extensive research-led process by Identity, a leading brand agency. From the outset there was a determination to select a name that was brand and experience led, complementary to Bluewater, and which created differentiation in the events and exhibition industry. Glow, Bluewater, satisfies this brief perfectly. It complements the wider Bluewater offer, creating additional reasons to visit, and will also attract new guests. A number of unique shows and events have already been confirmed, including a New York-inspired Winter Wonderland, boutique gift and lifestyle shows such as Spirit of Christmas and Spirit of Summer, and the BBC Good Food show. Glow, Bluewater is fully integrated with the wider Bluewater complex. It includes:

A 2,975m2 plaza, complete with 4,000m2 of restaurants
Glow, Bluewater is a natural evolution of the Bluewater brand. The UK’s newest and most exciting venue and will host a range of high quality events and exhibitions.
Glow, Bluewater also includes a 3,120m2 green roof, one of the largest in the UK. Designed within a sustainable framework, it will deliver a number of significant benefits to the local environment. Special planting techniques have been used to create a ‘bio-diverse’ habitat featuring specially sourced seeds that will attract at least 13 different species of wildlife, including rare bees. In addition, stones and native timber logs have been introduced due to their excellent thermal retention properties and to create shelter and a natural hibernation environment for insects, which in turn will attract birdlife.
