Bluewater today revealed that the £65 million Glow, Bluewater, a unique destination for experiential events and exhibitions integrated with Bluewater, is to open on November 30th 2011. Glow, Bluewater, which represents a new breed of venue whereby events are brought to consumers, will open with four events pre-Christmas, all created and managed by Clarion, one of the industry’s leading event organisers. The opening of Glow, Bluewater will follow the launch of the Plaza, which links the venue to Bluewater’s Thames Walk. Opening on November 10th, the Plaza is home to 12 entertainment-themed restaurants, including Jamie’s Italian, Wahaka, Brown’s, Balans and Wagamama.

Commenting on the announcement of the November 30th opening date, Rebecca Cardozo, Venue Director for Glow, Bluewater, said: “It is with great excitement that we are announcing the opening day and revealing more details of the first events. With just weeks to go, momentum is really building, as is anticipation of the range of events, shows and experiences that this events venue will be hosting pre-Christmas. Bluewater’s unique day-out experience has never been more varied and exciting.”

As part of Glow, Bluewater's lead up to Christmas, the following festive experiences are to be offered:
November 30th to December 4th – Spirit of Christmas, including the Spirit of Christmas Fair at Bluewater bringing 250 boutique suppliers to The Events Venue’s upper hall.
December 8th to January 8th 2012 – Christmas in New York, a winter’s day out for all the family.
December 8th to 11th – Festive Food Fair, with local, regional and artisan food and drink
December 15th to 18th – Last Minute Gift Fair. Great gifts and inspirational ideas for every Christmas shopper.
