New Sales Manager for Hever Castle Thursday 19th January 2012
Historic Hever Castle in Kent has recruited its first Sales Manager to help promote corporate and private events.
Kate Rowbottom joined the wedding and conference team at the Castle’s Astor Wing in December. Her remit includes generating bookings, helping launch the Castle’s new luxury Bed & Breakfast accommodation this spring, and liaising with clients to ensure every event is a success in the prestigious Garden of England venue.
Kate has many years’ experience in the corporate sector, having previously worked as Event Sales Manager for Leith’s at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Here she organised Royal Gala dinners, Naval banquets and corporate events in The Painted Hall, a baroque masterpiece designed by Christopher Wren. Kate launched Admirals House to the corporate world as a venue for high end meetings, and pioneered outside events encapsulating the impressive Colonnades and riverside lawns.

Besides having a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry, Kate’s exceptional organisational skills and well trained eye for detail made her the ideal candidate for the new sales post at Hever. She credits her passion for fine dining, commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations and flexible approach as key factors to delivering a successful event and says:“I am looking forward to sharing with the corporate world the unrivalled magnificence of Hever Castle and the boundless opportunities it offers for corporate hospitality. The award winning gardens and sprawling grounds provide peace and tranquillity away from the office, while the splendour of the Castle with its regal dining hall and oak panelled meeting rooms offer that ‘wow factor’ that event organisers are always searching for.”
