New GM at UK’s most sustainable venueThe Pines Calyx has appointed Kevin Francis as the new GM following the departure of Louise Kjaertinge last month.

Kevin Francis has over twenty years of management experience within successful, quality award winning hotels and restaurants such as Gleneagles, Charingworth Manor, Lower Slaughter Manor, Marston Hotels, Holiday Inn and Whitbread Retail.


Alistair Gould, Chairman of the Bay Trust which manages the Pines Calyx, said “We are delighted with the appointment of Kevin Francis. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge, something that will enable The Pines Calyx to continue being the premier conference venue in Kent and the most sustainable venue in the UK.”

Kevin said: “I am thrilled to be heading up the team at the Pines Calyx. The building and it’s surroundings are stunning, I shall be looking forward to making this venue the ultimate meetings and events destination. The Pines Calyx is ideally situated on the East Coast of Kent, with premier hotels nearby, easy access from London and the with sight and sound of the sea. I shall look forward to welcoming delegates from the UK & abroad to this excellent purpose built low carbon venue with “the optimum thinking space”.
